My name is Johnny Lin. With a diverse background encompassing journalism, political communications, and public affairs, I believe my unique skill set and extensive experiences make me an ideal candidate for this challenging role.
Throughout my career, I have gained valuable insights and honed my skills in various fields. I started my professional journey in 2006 as an assistant in the Parliament, where I developed a solid understanding of legislative processes and parliamentary affairs. Following that, I spent seven enriching years as a journalist for reputable magazines and newspapers, sharpening my communication and storytelling abilities while keeping the public informed and engaged.
Seeking new challenges, I transitioned into the political arena and served nearly eight years working for the Tainan City Government as the senior communications officer and the ruling party-DPP headquarter as the deputy director of policy department.
During this time, I held positions such as the spokesperson for DPP and policy advisor for the Mainland Affairs Council, actively participating in policy formulation and diplomatic engagements. Notably, I was invited by the U.S. Department of State to visit the United States and also served as a visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo through an invitation from the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association. These opportunities allowed me to broaden my international perspective and establish networks across borders.
My political involvement also included assisting in both local and national elections, where I contributed to campaign strategies, facilitated communication between stakeholders, and played a pivotal role in coordinating promotional materials and policy communications. These experiences have equipped me with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, enabling me to effectively navigate complex political landscapes.
In July 2022, driven by my desire for more challenging endeavors, I transitioned into the private sector, joining Taiya Renewable Energy as a Senior Manager in Public Affairs department and Synera Renewable Energy as a Public Affairs Associate Director. In these positions, I oversee media relations, engage with local affairs, and liaise with government and Legislative bodies.
Through my efforts, our company successfully was awarded a wind farm “Huang-Yang” project at the end of 2022 and supporting the wind farm bidding in the 2024 for Synera. My current role requires both internal and external communications, drawing upon my prior experiences in media and public affairs.
I am confident that the skills and expertise I have cultivated over the years align perfectly with the requirements of this position. My communication skills, strategic thinking, and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders make me an asset to any organization. Furthermore, my adaptability, resilience, and proven track record of delivering results in challenging environments will contribute to the continued success of your team.
