I am Chen Pei-Xuan, 23 years old, from Taichung, Taiwan. I have just graduated from the Department of Applied English at the National Taichung University of Science and Technology. I am the youngest in my family, and I was raised with the values of being down-to-earth, diligent, and proactive in education. I have applied these principles to my own life and have persevered accordingly.
In university, I had high expectations of myself to integrate into society early, gain social experience, and learn the principles of workplace interactions. Therefore, I chose to work part-time while studying, which also helped alleviate the financial burden on my family.
During my university years, I worked harder and focused on improving my English skills and fostering a spirit of teamwork. I participated in an on-campus business planning competition and although I didn't win, I learned the importance of teamwork through the process of writing the plan. In English conversation classes, I confidently engaged with native speakers, asking questions, and diligently taking notes. Throughout the four years, I successfully balanced my studies and work, demonstrating my perseverance and determination by never giving up on learning in the evenings despite working during the day.
In my career, I have demonstrated a strong willingness to learn and grow. Starting from scratch in quality assurance and as an international business assistant, I built a solid foundation of knowledge and became proficient in managing tasks independently. I actively communicated with supervisors and colleagues and participated in team discussions to improve efficiency and foster teamwork. When I transitioned to my current role as a Sales Assistant, I applied this knowledge and resilience, successfully tracking order statuses, coordinating schedules with internal teams, and managing shipping progress. This position presents new challenges every day. For example, when facing raw material shortages, I communicate with customers and promptly report the situation to my supervisor. When customers raise complaints, I ensure these are relayed to the relevant departments and that the R&D team provides professional responses. Additionally, I keep customers informed about product updates, track the timeline for product version changes, and ensure they make the necessary adjustments.
I am eager to expand my knowledge and skills in procurement. I’m particularly interested in optimizing supply chain management and building strong supplier relationships. With my experience as a Sales Assistant, I’m confident I can contribute to the company’s sourcing efforts and add value in this area.
At the beginning of this year, I started my fitness journey to improve my overall health and address previous shortcomings in body management. Although my progress appears to be slow, I have remained consistent in my efforts. Additionally, I have actively researched about nutrition and personal health management. This experience has not only enhanced my self-discipline and knowledge but has also gradually boosted my confidence and fostered a positive mindset, inspiring myself and others to pursue a healthier lifestyle.
