  • Project leader of the 'Key technology development of Micro Air Vehicle', in charge of the planning and execution of the project.
  • Experimental method was built to analyze the flow characteristics of a 15-cm-span MAV as the basis of the control theory for low Reynolds number fly environment
  • An active lift-improving mechanism was prototyped through the MEMS technology for fulfilling the final MEMS based propulsion and navigation system in the 3-cm-span MAV.

General Technical Supervisor

Universal Glamour Trading Co. Ltd.
11.1995 - 06.1997
  • Project manager for many government procurement projects

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering

University of Michigan
10.1994 - 10.1995
  • Validated a Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations based computational code on a turbulent free-surface jet flow by using a three-component LDV system
  • Validated a Reynold Averaged Navier-Stokes equations based computational code on a turbulent free-surface jet flow by using a three-component LDV system and finding the appropriate model of the Reynolds stresses near the free surface.
  • Identified a newly found angular bias error in three-component LDV measurement system by using Monte Carlo Simulation method.
  • Led a graduate-student group analyzing steady breaking wave generated by an underwater NACA foil by using a one component Laser Doppler Velocimeter. The purpose of this project is to determine the relation between the dynamic characteristics of the breaking waves and the Synthetic Aperture Radar signals. This project is one of the basic research projects for the next generation battleship design in the U.S. Navy.
