My name is Michelle, who graduated from the English Department of TamKang University and has been working in connector industry for over 18 years. During 2008-2012, I’d worked in a global company, Arrow Electronics Ltd. - a Fortune 150 company, to be a Product Manager. Later, I had an opportunity to join establishing Tradewell Electronics Co., Limited, a whole new company, and becomes an authorized distributor of Amphenol group which is a worldwide connector ranking supplier. That is a very special, tough and challenging opportunity for me. I grew much faster and stronger from this experience. After 12 years working in Tradewell that support company establishing in Honk Kong, Taiwan and China, it is a very stable and continuously growing company. So now it is my time moving to the next stage.
From being a PM to a Senior Product Marketing Manager, I’m not just a PM that focus only products themselves, but also a project owner, a market strategy planner and an Account Sales. I align both suppliers and customers in every projects and walk through the difficulties. By digging out demand creation opportunities, offering solutions since design in stages, negotiating with factories for supports, offering penetration plans, I’m very strong at enlarging suppliers’ market shares and fulfil customer requirements. To prove my achievements, I’d got FCI’s 2010 Regional Best PM in their Asia Pacific distributor meeting. I handled Amphenol TCS, which is the biggest supplier in Arrow connector business and the revenue reaches USD$37M in 2012 with an over 20% growth. After 2012, I was invited to start up Tradewell Electronics and growing up together with it. In these 5 years, I’ve learned how a company run, cost saving and enlarging profits. And of course, reaching suppliers and company target growth in over 16% every year is a must. From less than $1K billing to now almost $7M in our customer, USI Electronics, I feel it quite an achievement. Instead of just execute and achieve company goals, I try to make myself, suppliers and customers have a 3-wins situation.
In short, I’m a positive girl who is strong to deal with challenges. With having optimistic and enthusiastic attitudes, I get along with people well and become an independent, reliable girl who taking difficulties and pressure as spurs that improve me and make me stronger. Always feeling exciting and curious for whatever challenges might come though I’ve been working for over 18 years in electronics industry. And I always have great motive in learning and learn quick.
