  • During this editing and dubbing camp, I acquired skills in pacing narratives, generating tension, and developing characters through storyboards. Furthermore, I engaged in post-production editing using software such as Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve and designing basic Foley sounds. This experience has fuelled my enthusiasm for character creation that effectively communicates clear messages and moral lessons. Consequently, I am now equipped to construct narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. It emphasises the importance of cultural respect and sensitivity, given that media has the potential to reach varied online audiences.

  • My primary role as a film assistant is ticket distribution when going to the local partnered cinema and duty in the film room to help the other students with difficulties, editing, or film-related questions.

  • Our student-led initiative aims to raise awareness about racism in our community. In the past year, we have organised workshops at our school for younger students to discuss the prevalence of racial biases. We have also explored how identity develops as one grows up and what that means in an international environment. Furthermore, we hosted an open forum inviting school members and external participants to join us in discussing microaggressions and racism with a guest speaker who is an expert in cultural research and is specialised in issues concerning ethnicity, race, and class. Being part of this initiative is important to me because of its widespread normalisation of how people currently address each other and the impact that it has had on society regarding biases we often do not realise.

  • This programme challenged us to regularly present ideas and engage in two-way communication to complete group tasks. Speaking in front of an audience developed my soft skills for communicating with large groups, engaging in active listening, and providing feedback. It also prepared me to be an active participant and leader, highlighting the significance of teamwork and efficient communication in media and communication.

  • This is a 15-day charity event called 1919, hosted by the Chinese Christian Relief Association (CCRA), which toured Taiwan while providing gifts and care to rural elderly in the spirit of Christmas. The event involved travelling to remote churches to provide food, clothes, shoes, toiletries, and offer haircuts, dental cleanings, and companionship. Its goal was to care for socioeconomically struggling elderly, often left behind in rural areas, as younger people move to cities. I helped the elderly with clothing fit and engaged in conversations, learning about their hardships and emotional struggles. This experience highlighted societal wealth inequality and the importance of caring for the ageing population. It reinforced my belief in noblesse oblige- the duty of the privileged to contribute to society, motivating me to work toward a more equitable world.
  • 我參加了華人基督教救濟協會 (Chinese Christian Relief Association, CCRA) 所舉辦的名為「1919」的 15 天慈善活動,該活動在台灣巡迴舉行,同時在聖誕節的精神下為偏鄉的長者提供物資包和關懷。活動內容包括前往偏遠的教會,提供食物、衣服、鞋子、盥洗用品,以及理髮、洗牙和陪伴。其目的在於關懷因年輕人遷居城市而常被遺忘在鄉村地區、在社會經濟上掙扎的老人。在這個活動裡我主要負責幫助長者穿上合身的衣服,並與他們交談,瞭解他們的困難和情緒掙扎。這一次次的經驗讓我明白了社會貧富不均以及照顧高齡人口的重要性。它鞏固了我對公共事務的信念,也就是享有資源的人有義務貢獻社會,促使我努力”建立“一個更公平的世界。

  • Another event hosted by the CCRA is the 1919 Taiwan Cycling Challenge, which aims to raise funds for families in need and to encourage the public to pay attention to and support disadvantaged families through the act of cycling around Taiwan. During the journey, participants visited 1919 service centres, tutoring classes, and beneficiary households across the island to gain a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges faced by those in need. Specifically, the slogan ‘I cycle, you donate’ is used to rally friends, family, and the general public to participate in this charitable initiative. Through this effort, I successfully raised over 300,000 NTD, which was used to assist families facing life crises due to emergencies such as the death, severe illness, serious injury, or accidental death of the family breadwinner or a family member, requiring urgent assistance.
  • 1919環台勇士的主要目的是為急難家庭籌募救助金,並透過實際騎單車環台的行動,邀請社會大眾關注與支持弱勢家庭,同時在環台過程中探訪各地的1919服務中心、陪讀班與受助戶,深入了解受助者的需求與困境。具體來說,環台勇士以「我騎車、你捐款」的方式號召親友及社會大眾響應公益,參與在這其中我成功募得了超過台幣30萬的款項,並將募得的善款用於協助因急難事件而陷入生活困境的家庭,例如家計者或家屬死亡、重病、嚴重傷害、意外事故等需要緊急援助的情況。

HASSE Space Camp Special Assistance June 2024 ~ July 2024

As a special assistant at this camp, my priority was to help the teacher with translations and support the participants in staying on track with the assigned tasks. Occasionally, I also stepped in to operate technology, such as the presentations or music used during the lectures, and participated in demonstrations of the practical sessions.


身為這次夏令營的特別助理,我的首要任務是協助老師進行翻譯,並支援參加者按部就班地完成指定的任務。有時候,我也會介入操作技術,例如講座中使用的簡報或音樂,並參與實務課程的示範。
