· Manager for MediaFLO technologies System Project Engineering group. Led a group of 45 senior engineers. Prime responsibility for all aspects of tradeshows, technical field trials, and commercial deployments of the MediaFLO system. Deployed projects for Field Trials in China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Africa, and the U.K. and numerous high profile tradeshows such as IBC, NAB, MWC, and 3GSM.

· Led the development of MediaFLO system training packages to enable 3rd party system integrators to deploy commercial networks. This training package included all aspects of deployment, optimization, and acceptance.

· Led the requirements and development for productization of the MediaFLO system such as network OAM and installation and commissioning software.

· Led successful product hand-off from engineering to operational team. Managed build-out and hand-off of first commercial MediaFLO network from Qualcomm’s Venture Technologies division to the MediaFLO USA operating company.

· Led first international demonstration of FLO air-interface technology at Shanghai International Film Festival.

· Deployed first pre-commercial MediaFLO Media Distribution System (MDS) to support China Unicom (Shanghai and Tianjin) EVDO networks’ video delivery capability.

· Developed software tools and methodologies to support Qualcomm MediaFLO technology demonstrations and field trials.

· Developed MATLAB test environment to characterize electrical and physical performance of pre-commercial MEMS display units. These results identified product improvements and increased process yields.

· Integrated MEMS panel display panel with dedicated controller IC for applications in smaller-sized displays such as watches and low-end cell-phones.

· Led product introduction team for Ericsson’s commercial CDMA2000 network in first two trial markets, Mianyang China and Anqing China. These successful deployments led to Ericssons first CDMA2000 contracts, and subsequent global deployment.

· Technical project manager for CDMA 2000 network rollout in Jakarta, Indonesia. Overall management of all phases of new product introduction to the market unit including interactions with sales, marketing, customer management and local Ericsson management in areas of network rollout, logistics, and local training, as well as technical expertise in support of network integration with a third-party (Samsung) Mobile Switching Center vendor.

· Integrated new Ericsson networking products including: VoIP PTT (Push-To-Talk) applications, MMS (Media Messaging System), IPMM (IP Multi-Media), and Airvanna 1xEVDO network equipment.

· Led Ericsson’s marketing of Push-to-Talk solution for China Unicom. Developed and presented a field demo as well as high-level presentations to customer management.

· Led test team for China Network Access License testing of Ericsson IS-95 CDMA network equipment in Nanjing, China. Subsequent to successful completion of this testing, IS-95 network commercial contracts were awarded to Ericsson.

· Led on-site engineers diagnosing network interoperability problems between Ericsson Base Station Subsystem and locally produced ZTE Mobile Switching Center equipment in China markets. Resolved interoperability problems with local handset vendors, resulting in successful product launch.

· Led engineers responsible for Over-The-Air broadcast lab, and Customer Solutions Center CDMA2000 demo facilities. Led CDMA2000 product line marketing and new product introduction, as well as final lab verification prior to software deployment. Supported field emergencies, new product deployments, and trade shows.

· Deployed and supported Ericsson Multi-Access demo at CDMA Americas Congress, showcasing interoperability between 802.11 Wireless LAN and CDMA 2000 1xEVDO access technologies.

· Managed migration of Ericsson’s Over the Air laboratory from IS-95 to CDMA2000 air access network. Leveraged these lessons into customer training documents and upgrade scenarios prior to implementation in the field.

· Integrated Ericsson Cello ATM platform and CDMA2000 application software for Base Station Controller and Radio Base Station products.

· Led an integrated team of 20 software developers and systems engineers for end-end product testing in a broadcast environment testing end-user scenarios.

· Performed testing of handoff between CDMA2000 and IS-95 access networks. Improved success rate to meet customer requirements.

· Tested and deployed first commercial upgrade of Qualcomm CDMA Infrastructure network in Moscow.

· Led on-site engineers for network-outage resolution team in Qualcomm’s first nationwide CDMA network in Santiago, Chile. Problems were successfully identified and resolved, leading to customer satisfaction.

· Led a project to incorporate field debug experiences into improved Operator Interface. Developed requirements for Advanced Graphical Interface. Led prototype development and testing. This prototype project was incorporated into commercial product design and delivered as a product enhancement.

· Developed test suite for Operations Administration and Management (OAM) functions of Qualcomm CDMA infrastructure equipment.

· Improved system design, and developed software scripts and procedures to support enhanced redundancy and high availability in Qualcomm Base Station Controller and Call Control Processor products.

· Developed procedures for Call Control Processor hardware upgrade.

· Led in-country software debug team in U.S. government certified Secure Software Facility, operating under State Department and ITAR guidelines.

· Overall responsibility for all Avionics subsystems integration. Liaison engineer in support of Taiwan co-development organization (Aero Industrial Development Corporation) and other Avionics subsystem vendors. Worked closely with all parties to resolve system level problems in power, electrical, and signaling interfaces.

· Led on-site integration effort for locally developed (Taiwan research institute, CISIT) IR and Radar guided A-A missiles with IDF aircraft on-board Lockheed developed Radar, Display, and Mission Computer Avionics systems.

· Designed and tested software requirements for Heads-Up Display control unit; increased productivity by developing fully automated test suite.

· Optimized 1553 Bus implementation to allow for expansion of additional Avionics subsystems on existing bus architecture.
