• Principal Duties and Responsibilities Maintains records/ registers of injuries and illnesses occurred, and treatment given
• If a national doctor is on board then he is to monitor if this is being completed by him
• Provides medical treatment (if necessary) and trained to do so
• Responsible for presenting all personnel on board with safety induction training and instructs inductees on hazards relevant to their positions
• Conducts regular hygiene inspections with other senior staff on rig
• Ensure emergency medical equipment is maintained in prepared state of readiness and an accurate inventory is made of same

• To ensure that the company avoids legal liabilities, which could result from non-observance of the responsibilities, placed on it. (Within the scope of current Malaysian Legislation {OSHA Act 1994 (Act 514) regulations and orders}.
• To ensure that a quality health safety & environment (QHSE) system is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with the requirements of ISO Standards (ISO 9001/ OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001).
• To prepare, review and control the issue of QHSE procedures as necessary and to revise and maintain the company QHSE Management System at worksite.
• To monitor through company’s offshore worksites, that the company’s policies and procedures are being satisfactorily observed.
