I live in Longjing District, Taichung City, and I am the youngest in my family. My father is an engineer, and my mother works in the finance industry. With strict education at home, the expectations for me have always been higher than for my siblings. I have not let them down, as my academic performance has been the best in the family.
From a young age, I attended cram schools, which allowed me to read many more books compared to classmates who did not. I was usually among the top students in my class, excelling in mathematics and physics. From the gifted classes in junior high and high school to studying Chemical Engineering at National Tsing Hua University, I gradually developed an interest in science, which ultimately led me to choose Chemical Engineering as my major. Although conducting experiments and writing reports can sometimes be a bit tedious, the results often bring a sense of accomplishment. Unconsciously, I found myself enjoying the process. This training has developed my attention to detail, patience, dedication, and a thorough investigative spirit.
During college, I joined a community dance club and assisted in organizing winter camps at Shuiyuan Elementary School in Hualien. I learned a lot from designing activities, scheduling, and coordinating processes, and gained valuable communication skills and organizational logic.
When I was in ninth grade, I realized my English skills were not very strong, but I understood the importance of the language. During college, I participated in TOEIC courses offered by the school but only scored in the 500s, leaving much room for improvement.
Since I have been exposed to Japanese culture from a young age, I have developed an interest in Japanese. However, due to a heavy course load in university, I only began studying Japanese for two semesters in my senior year. Compared to English, I feel that I understand Japanese better in terms of listening comprehension.
I have always enjoyed reading storybooks since childhood, and immersing myself in stories has been a wonderful experience. Many of my perspectives on life have been shaped by these stories. As I grew older, I began exploring various novels, including science fiction and sentimental ones. Imagining scenes from the extensive texts is also a pleasure and aids in memory. Besides reading, watching movies and traveling are also essential to how I spend my free time. Movies allow me to simulate how people would react if similar events happened in the real world and learn interpersonal skills. Some films are adapted from novels or comics, and exploring their differences is also intriguing. Traveling helps me relax, clear my mind, see the world through my own eyes, breathe different air, and enjoy the lifestyles of other regions. I believe these experiences will effectively enhance my motivation to learn new knowledge.
In the future, I aim to learn more knowledge and skills that I do not yet know in my work. While satisfying my curiosity for knowledge, I also hope to contribute my university-acquired knowledge to the future company.
