HuiMin/Summer Chen

Summer Chen was the Editor-in-Chief of Taiwan FactCheck Center. Taiwan FactCheck Center is the first fact-checking organization, collaborating with Facebook, Yahoo, and LINE in the Chinese-speaking world since 2018. Due to political geolocation, TFC also serves as a frontline defense against Chinese information warfare. In addition to debunking mis/disinformation, TFC also builds the defenceline in Taiwanese society by media literacy projects. Summer leads the team from the start stage of TFC. TFC gains the trust and reputation under her leadership.

Before being a fact checker, she was a journalist for a daily economic newspaper. She started to be a fact checker in May 2019. She leads the TFC team to fight several battles against mis/disinformation. TFC won the Best Corrected award of Global Fact7 and was an initiative of CoronaVirusFacts Alliance in 2020. TFC fought against the disinformation during the China Military exercises in Aug 2022. Recently She was leading the team to combat mis/disinformation ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election. She loves to be one part of the fact-checking community.

Now she is the senior strategic consultant of Doublethink Lab. Doublethink Lab is the non-profit organization, focusing on analyzing China information operation and measuring China information influence.
