Autobiography

My name is Chia-Yang Chen. I was born in 1987 and raised in a humble, loving family. I am an Army veteran with 8-year service of transportation specialty. The service has not only provided me with extensive experiences and training for skill development, character remolding, but also offered me the opportunity to lead, manage and effectively communicate with people across different sectors for delivering outstanding results. Being a Company Commander leading a dedicated transportation company and also accomplishing projects was a unique experience for me. I also learned how to communicate with all kinds of soldiers. There were so many kinds of tasks every day. My mission is dividing the task into small one and collaborate with my company partners. So, I thought that time and the experience made me become good at communicating. I show independent thinking and the ability to take control of a situation, rather than always deferring to somebody else. Thus, these experiences made me work well in a cross-functional workforce. After retiring from the Army in July 2017, I started working as a sales representative. My first job was being a salesperson of tiles and my second job was sales of instruments, like oscilloscope, power supply unit and my customer companies include Qualcomm, Phison, KSMT and so on. And the experience that I learned the most was sales ability. The following qualifications are what I have to offer: 1. Cost analysis & pricing strategy - Collect market price based on product specifications, analyze production cost and set reference price for each product. - Timely monitor market trends and adjust pricing guidelines accordingly. 2. Market and sales analysis - Customer demand and competitor information gathering. - Timely forecast update and capacity planning based on market demand. 3. RFQ and contract negotiations - Quarterly or yearly price negotiation with customers to keep market share and margin. - RFQ and order placement with Tektronix/Keithley machine manufacturers.
