Personal Projects

Apps & Chrome Extension:

Retriever (2023 - present)

  • Location based task manager.

Aistein (2023- present)

  • In partnership with SingularMaker, we created a Chrome Extension intended to assist students afford subscription based educational websites like Chegg or Numerade. This extension utilizes Ai APIs to help students solve math or physics questions effortlessly. With a click of a button, the extension will scan their screen, identify the question at hand, and answer their questions step by step.
  • While the extension still utilizes AI APIs, we had made sure that it is still free and accessible. Instead of having students having to pay these Ai API individually, the extensions operation costs are distributed across many users, making the total cost cheaper. In addition, Data Science Club have provided club funds to be able to pool this extension, thus enabling each user to benefit from the service.

Research papers and projects:

Rienmann Sphere  (2023 Winter)

  • One of the projects for Honors Modern Topics in Computer Science was exploring more in depth into the world of Quantum Computing. The topics my group chose was the Rienmann Sphere which has a lot of implications in Quantum Computing such as the Blochs Sphere.
  • In this project we explore much in the mathematical theories behind the Rienmann Sphere and researched about its possible implications for Quantum Computing

Machine Learning Fluid Dynamics Research Paper (2023 - present)

  • In collaboration with Dr. Baytun, Honors Modern Topics In CS teacher; Mr. Matlock, AP Statistics Teacher; and Andrei Ichisenko, UCSB PhD student, we researched into how machine learning is utilized in the world of fluid dynamics.
  • Our research delved deep into reduced order modeling for temporal evolutions of fluid flows.

Extracurricular

Data Science Club (2022 - present)

President

  • Developed, organized, and led class structures and curricula. Taught statistical methods and also how to utilize coding languages such as Python and R to help create statistical charts, analyze data.
  • Design classes which were more engaging such as games and workshops in order to build interest among new members and people new to this area
  • Initiated and led collaborative data science projects with real world applications such as non-profits such as SingularMaker
  • Successfully expanded the Club's membership and increased participation through engaging activities and many recruitment efforts. Foster interest for statistics and data science at school.
  • Club advisor, Dr. Baytun, created Data Science Class after seeing more people interested in area.
  • Invited Mr. Matlock, AP Statistics Teacher, to give a speech about his time working as a particle physicists at CERN and how data science was actually extremely important during his time there. Real World application.
  • Programming Languages Used: Python, Java, matlab

Statistics Club (2021 - present)

President

  • Invited to attend a class at Tamkang University led by Dr. Yu Shyr, Professor of Biostatistics from Vanderbilt, with some club members. Class topics included advanced statistical methods used to analyze data for COVID-19 patients, and also utilizing programming languages such as R to perform these statistical methods.
  • Win the Pride Competition (Silver). Win the pride competition is organized by the Technology and Science department of the Taiwanese government, encouraging students to utilize online datasets to address current socio-economical issues. Our paper looked into potential methods to increase birth rates in Taiwan
