Seven (7) years of expertise in blade maintenance, service, WTG main component replacement, & troubleshooting of Vestas & Siemens Gamesa turbines. Morely on blade maintenance & special task acting as the lead tech which do the planning & executing blade inspection & repairs every year. Responsible for making Component inspection reports (CIR) & coordination with the Engineering team for issuing reports for the customer. Proven experience in rope access with IRATA level 2, using man-basket crane, & Vestas UVM blade access platforms. Can able to repair blade damaged under Vestas Trainings upto Category 5 & CIM cases damaged. Lead the team for fixing issues in the Cooler top cover panels which was first time in Southeast Asia here in Taiwan. Replacement of Panels & installing reinforcement brackets in the cooler top panels for platforms V105, V117, & V136. Aside from Vestas blades, have also wide knowledge & experience in LM or Gamesa blades for our multi brand sites in Vestas, tower de=rusting & painting, nacelle & hub fiberglass repair, & turbine cleaning. Responsible for keeping the blade tools & rope access equipment in good condition with regular inspection by the third parties. Actively participate in 5S & LEAN, Quality, Site improvements, and promote safe working practices.
- Responsible for blade inspection & repair planning in whole Vestas Taiwan onshore sites with platforms V80, V105, V117, & V136
- Performed blade repair from CAT1 to CAT5 for CIM cases damages, leading edge erosion, shell damaged, LPS inspection & repair, trailing edge damaged, and other upgrades in blades
- Lead the rope access team with Vestas CIM cases task, like blade damaged, cooler top panel installation & retrofitting, tower ladder replacement, & turbine cleaning
- Support other sites in Taiwan onshore or offshore when needed
- Responsible for CIM cases planning, order parts, tooling, Service order status, & share to the team
- Support troubleshooting team when available
- Support the site mostly for special task
- Proactively in making CIRs, participate in LEAN, and maintaining good KPI in the site
- Planning & scheduling of blade related activities under supervision of Blade Technical Support Team
- Performed blade inspection via Scope/Camera or Rope Access and delivering reports to the Customer
- Performed blade repairs from VESTAS CAT1.0 upto CAT5.0 damaged such as leading-edge erosion, open tip damaged, shell cracks, lightning strikes damage & other kinds of repairs via down-tower or up-tower like crane man basket or rope access
- Performed LEP application such as 3M Tape, LEP9, & LEP10
- Performed additional blade service task like LPS inspection & repair, LPS upgrade (Copper tip installation) and Vortex generator installation
- Responsible for ordering blade materials & tools
- In-charge in Rope Access Equipment inspection and inventory
- Performed rotor blade balancing when needed
- Performed blade & bearing replacement & calibration when needed
- Support the troubleshooting & annual service team if available
- Performed annual inspections of tower flange bolts
- Performed other rope access jobs like tower De-rusting and painting, repair nacelle like fiberglass crack or loosen bolts
- Support in other main component replacements (Gearbox, generator, pitch cylinder, etc.)
- Support other sites for related blade repair or tower painting activity when needed
