I am currently studying at Taiwan Net Zero Academy which is the United Nations incubator of the Race to Zero Campaign.
The course covers:
1. How to write the ESG report
2. Carbon asset management
3. Green energy
4. Green supply chain management
5. Sustainable finance
My goal is to assist brand to reduce scope 3 carbon emission by walking through the process with Taiwanese suppliers or even Asian suppliers.
It has been the pain point for brand to manage the scope 3 carbon emission:
1) to know the numbers of carbon emission from suppliers
2) to set the goal of reduction
3) make the action plan and monitoring the effectiveness
For international brand, it's important to have someone locally who's being able to work along and guide suppliers the way.
For brand, it's easier to have someone in between for effortless communication, gain more visibility on what's really happening, also keep the momentum going.
The supply chain management will only be more and more important, not only on the environmental aspect, but also social responsibility requirements.
Combining the experiences within textile industry, the ability of communication and coordination, also the knowledge towards sustainability,
I am ready to put my skills into practical work.
