Work History

Internship From NUS Student Work Scheme

UI/UX Design for Building Energy Efficiency System
08.2024 - 06.2025

Responsible for system platform interface planning and implementation, covering:

  • Function module layout: Determine the data modules and related management modules required for monitoring status, and arrange the system layout reasonably.
  • Status monitoring panel design: Design the connections required for each panel (with external simulators), determine the data to be displayed, and implement real-time chart display.
  • User operation logic optimisation: Beautify the page layout to ensure that the focus is clear and explicit when users are using it.

Work closely with the energy system analysis, data processing, and sensor design sub-teams to ensure that the interface design meets monitoring requirements.

Project

Smart Gate Driver Design and Health Monitor Integration
10.2024 - 04.2025
  • Independently developed a smart Si-MOS gate driver with integrated electrical health monitoring functionality, featuring fault detection for overcurrent, undervoltage, saturation, and programmable soft shutdown.
  • The project encompassed circuit modelling, component selection, parameter selection, simulation testing, and PCB design.
  • High-precision time-domain simulation and protection feature analysis were achieved using LTspice and Python, while hardware design and fabrication were carried out using Altium Designer.
  • The results are applicable to high-reliability power supplies, EV drives, and industrial control scenarios, offering high scalability and board-level deployment advantages.

Project

Design and Implementation of a Non-Hermitian Topological Electronic Sensor
11.2023 - 04.2024
  • Independently designed a non-Hermitian topological sensor based on an SSH chain, leveraging the boundary zero-mode characteristics to achieve ultra-sensitive detection of physical perturbations. Demonstrated an exponential dependence of the response frequency on boundary disturbances.
  • Employed Python to perform theoretical modeling of the circuit matrix, combined with LTspice for frequency spectrum simulation and circuit verification.
Achieved a frequency response error within ±2.5%, and successfully soldered and debugged a 19-node sensing prototype.
  • The final hardware sensor exhibited stable and pronounced response changes under various boundary perturbations, effectively validating the topological zero-mode feature.
This work offers a new approach for future ultra-low-power and high-precision sensing applications.

Project

Design of Wireless Communication Systems
01.2023 - 02.2023
  • Independently designed and implemented a wireless transceiver system.
  • This included schematic module design, device selection and testing, circuit design, and soldering.
  • Achieved 6 metres square wave wireless communication with good noise immunity.
