As a Foreign English Teacher, I had the following responsibilities:

• Teaching and facilitating lessons.
• Lesson planning.
• Creating lesson PowerPoints, worksheets and teaching aids.

As a Temporary Teacher I had the following duties:

• Started a native language (isiXhosa) program as part of my duties.

• Taught grades 1 to 3 (Foundation Phase) conversational and written isiXhosa. I also conducted the Physical Education lessons for the Foundation Phase.

• Taught grades 4 to 5 the following subjects: History, Geography, Life Skills as well as Creative Arts.

• Did daily lesson planning as well as weekly lesson planning for all the subjects I taught, both in the Intermediate and the Foundation Phase.

As a Substitute Teacher I had the following duties:

• Teaching grades 4 to 7 the following subjects: History, Geography, Life Skills, and Physical Education.

• Following the daily lesson planning.

• Abiding by the school rules and ethical codes of conduct.

As a student teacher I had the following duties:

• Implementing the discipline & behavior policy of the school.

• Working as a support to the teacher as well as working under the guidance & supervision of senior staff.

• Contributing to the delivery of teaching.

• Providing personal academic support to the students. • Using a range of teaching styles as well as aids in the classroom.

• Marking books, creating worksheets and taking over mentor teacher's duties in her absence.

• Planning and delivering well-structured lessons which engaged and motivated students.

As a student teacher I had the following duties:

• Planning and delivering well-structured lessons which engaged and motivated students.

• Providing personal academic support to students.

• Helping mentor teacher with marking.
