Shaoqian Lai

Piano educator that is student centric and prioritise fun learning experience for students. Particularly competent at teaching young children. Applied effective teaching techniques to provide solid foundation for piano playing. Always eager to learn new musical games and teaching techniques.

• Performed as backup vocalist, and also performed as a member of Aureus Academy Teacher's Choir in Aureus Teacher Showcase, Esplanade Singapore, January 2023.
• Performed with Aureus Teacher's Choir at Tearcher's Showcase, December 2022.
• Performed piano solo at Teacher's Showcase, November 2022.
• Performed in Markus Prause's piano masterclass in year 2019, at National Pingtung University, Taiwan.
• Attended the 24th International Kodaly Symposium in Kuching, Sarawak, 2019.
• Received silver award in Asia Arts Festival 2018, under piano solo category.
• Received distinction in Trinity ATCL Piano Examination in year 2018.
• Pass ABRSM Theory grade 8 in year 2018.
• Held a solo piano recital in year 2018. Received Best Student Award in the graduating class of 2017.
• Member of Malaysian Institute of Art ladies chorus, and won category winner in Vietnam International Choir Competition 2017.
• Performed in I-Hsuan Peng's piano masterclass in year 2014, at Malaysian Institute of Art.
