Hi, I'm Sophie.
After graduating from the Accounting Department at National Taipei University, I began my career at PwC Taiwan. During my time at PwC, I was involved in audits of publicly listed companies and participated in assisting client companies with IPO submissions. After leaving PwC, I joined a mid-sized accounting firm where my primary clients were subsidiaries of foreign companies in Taiwan. My focus was on auditing related to Taiwan's tax regulations and financial due diligence project analysis.
Subsequently, I transitioned to the industry as an Assistant Manager of Finance and Accounting at a manufacturing company, managing a team of about four people. My responsibilities included reviewing the accounting of overseas subsidiaries, preparing financial reports, weekly cash flow planning, and assisting senior management in coordinating with banks and auditors during audits.
Working in an accounting firm required strong teamwork and collaboration to handle client projects, which enhanced my ability to communicate, resolve issues, and coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients. In the industry, I further developed my communication and coordination skills as the finance and accounting department often served as the backbone, bridging the professional gaps among different departments.
I am optimistic, approachable, and eager to learn new things. For instance, three years ago, I began long-awaited guitar lessons during my free time from work. I also enjoy traveling and have been taking English conversation courses since graduating from university to make self-guided trips abroad more convenient.
I embrace challenges and am unafraid of exploring new and unfamiliar tasks. In the future, I hope to further enhance my expertise in financial analysis and tax planning, contributing to the overall financial strategy of the company.
