System Integration Test Engineer with 3–4 years of experience on Intel/AMD x86 server platforms. Skilled in BMC/BIOS/firmware validation, Linux OS certification (Ubuntu / RHEL / SUSE), and building end-to-end test environments covering boot, network, and storage. Strong in log analysis and cross-team collaboration with BIOS, BMC and platform R&D. Seeking to grow in server, cloud infrastructure, or related system/testing roles.
Perform system integration testing on Intel and AMD x86 server platforms (1-socket / 2-socket), covering BMC, BIOS, hardware, and Linux OS behavior.
Validate Dell iDRAC 9/10 features including Web UI, account management, KVM, Virtual Media, Event Log, Lifecycle Controller, and Redfish/OEM APIs.
Use Redfish APIs and ipmitool to verify power control, sensors, thermal management, event service, and traditional IPMI functions (Power, SEL, Sensors, FRU, SOL, etc.).
Verify BIOS features such as CPU (HT, VT-x/VT-d, C-states), memory (NUMA, ECC/RAS), PCIe (link speed, SR-IOV), Secure Boot, UEFI, and boot order.
Use tools like lscpu, dmidecode, lspci, and dmesg to ensure BIOS settings take effect at OS level and maintain consistency among BIOS/BMC/OS.
Execute BIOS / iDRAC / CPLD / LC firmware upgrade/downgrade and compatibility tests, including signature checks, configuration consistency, and cross-version boot behavior.
Conduct hardware event tests (fan failure, PSU plug/unplug, overheat, drive failure) and confirm correct reporting in iDRAC logs and Redfish events.
Participate in OS certification for Ubuntu / RHEL / SUSE: OS installation (UEFI / Secure Boot / Legacy), kernel/module compatibility, driver support (NIC, NVMe, RAID, HBA, BMC drivers), and PCIe/CPU/memory/NVMe/NIC topology validation.
Run system performance and stability tests using stress-ng, fio, memtester, and netperf; perform power cycle (100–500 times), soak tests (72–168 hours), and burn-in tests.
Build PXE Boot, HTTP Boot, iSCSI, and NVMe-oF (NVMe/TCP) environments; verify PXE/iSCSI/NVMe-oF boot flows and integration with BIOS Boot Manager.
Validate GPU driver installation and CUDA environment, run CUDA samples and stress tools (e.g., NVQual) for long-term GPU stability and thermal monitoring.
Prepare test plans and test reports, maintain test records and defect tracking, and collaborate with platform/BIOS/BMC R&D teams to analyze BIOS/BMC/OS/sensor/thermal logs and reproduce issues.
