Wen-Tse (Mark) Chang

A highly motivated person. Willing to devote my time in building project and learn while working with a team. Adapt teaming and communicating with different people quickly, also have a fast adaptation in new concept, knowledge, and equipment. Have a strong self-learning skill. Can work with anyone, and establish effective communication. Able to understand and communicate with people from different ages, cultural, educational, and national background.

Have experience and fluent in English writing, speaking, listening and reading due to experience mainly in high school and university.

Have TOEFL score of 98 in 2022, however due to constantly engaging in full-English environment, have mastered different skills of English and English-teaching since.

I am  the type of person who know the importance of working in a team and communication. As I have multiple experience of working in a team to plan different activity, video editing, programming, and simply lab tasks. I understand the problem that an ineffective communication can cause, this is why in a team I will always:

• keep my message / verbal words organised, concise (summing up my whole point at the end of the conversation)
• do all my best to prevent information gap between team members
• listening to everyone's opinion, but able to make crucial decision
• good temper control
• promote effective and concise communication during important / heavy tasks

I may not be excellence in programming skills or knowledge, but I am aware of the importance and power of self-learning, as I also possess the motivation and skill to learn different things by myself quickly. As I have 7 years of home schooling experience, which I self-taught most of the middle school and elementary contents. During high school, I am not in favor of the teaching style of my chemistry and math teacher, so I self-taught and learned the entire IB Math and Chemistry HL content.

I’m always trying to improve myself by finding new techniques, products, technologies, and tools that can enhance my learning and work efficiency. I’m not afraid of failure, adapting to new environments, or talking to different people.

Therefore, from past experiences, I have gained the skill of self-learning, able to learn and overcome failure and risks, and being able to adapt to anything new.

• built a Python data visualisation code for Chemistry experiment with my friend
• self-taught Python web crawling, iOS development, SQL
• planning to start learning Machine Learning
