Wenta William Chang

I've worked as a claim handler to deal with P&I related claims including cargo damages, crew matters, collisions, FFOs as well as charterparty disputes for more than 13 years. Before being a claim handler in P&I cases, I worked with an international insurance broker, AON in Taiwan to cultivate the practical experiences and skills in P&I field. Although I learnt and practiced in law since my university life in Taiwan and UK, practices in works made me vivid and interested in claims.

Since I moved back from Europe, I still have worked with European market for more than a decade which is to provide local services and helps to members. In some casualties such as grounding, collision, allision to port facilities, I had a great deal of experiences in collaborating with engineers from UK, Singapore and HK to discuss and negotiate with local authorities for Clubs and shipowners. I do have a good profession in my communication capability, team works and self-discipline performance. Of course, local law practice and common law are the academic background of my education and they indeed help me a lot in my jobs.

I enjoy movie time or visiting theatre for opera when I am in leisure during weekend. K-pop dancing is a kind of exercise for me to release my stresses in life. Traveling is another way to do but it would take longer time to achieve.
