Test content:

(1) Router/Mesh/Extender function test

Wi-Fi connection, FW upgrade, Attached Device, DDNS, Port Forwarding/Trigger and other related functions.

(2) Setup Stress Test

The main purpose of stress testing is to simulate the user's habits to find issue. Many kinds of clients connect to the DUT via Wired/Wireless methods. In addition, during the process, it is necessary to capture and analyze packets in order to more accurately describe the BUG.

(3) App test

In addition to the user interface, there are also related tests such as blocking phishing websites and parental monitoring.

(4) Reproduce N user issue

Replicate the problem by user's report.

(5) Wi-Fi Throughtput test

Use Ixchariot to test Throughtput.

(6) Design tested case for products

Design new test case according to different environments or user habits.

Experience:

During NETGEAR, I tested products including Router/Mesh/Extender, and had experience in testing over a hundred FWs, so I have a good understanding of the products. In addition, when setting up the Stress Test, I was able to encounter more user problems and then design more related test cases to make the product more stable.

Test content:

(1)Router/Video doorbell/IP cam function test

Wi-Fi connection, FW upgrade, Attached Device, Sensor Detect/Trigger, Day/Night and other related functions.

(2)5G NR/4G LTE throughput test

Measuring 4G LTE/5G NR performance with KEYSIGHT.

(3)SPIRENT/Ixia/Ixchariot throughput test

Use SPIRENT/Ixia/Ixchariot to measure Wi-Fi performance, MU-MIMO and multi-user connection and other related tested case.

(4)Create test case

Design relevant test cases from customer needs.

(5)Debug with RD and Customer

Replicate the problem and capture the relevant log.

Experience:

I was exposed to the testing of new products such as Video doorbell and IP cam, and also had the rare opportunity to learn how to use large-scale testing equipment such as SPRIRENT/Ixia/KEYSIGHT. The benefits were immense.

Test content:

After discussing with the Project Leader, plan the test scope and assign test items to other members.

(2)Wireless client card/Router/Sensor function test

Wi-Fi connection, FW upgrade, Attached Device, Sensor Detect and other related functions.

(3)Wi-Fi throughput performance test

Testing Wi-Fi performance using Ixchariot.

(3)Auto tool-WinAutomation

Use the auto tool-WinAutomation to create test case.

(4)Edit tested case

Modify the test case to better.

(5)Debug with RD and customer

Replicate the problem and capture the relevant log.

Experience:

In addition to learning more product testing, I also got to know automation tools, which saved me at least one day of work time after making good use of them. In addition, after arranging tested case to my member, I was able to better understand the testing process and the cooperation between peers.

Experience:

This is my first job after graduation. I feel that the test is quite interesting after a whole year. I can get a sense of accomplishment every time after completing a job. Although I have to leave due to contract reasons, I hope to continue to improve in this industry in the future.
