Laboratory specializes in optical thin films, designing various optical components by using different materials and optical thicknesses, and altering the original film characteristics through different fabrication methods.
The master's thesis involved coating polymer gratings with Ta₂O₅ to achieve guided-mode resonance effects. Through simulations, measurements, and theoretical validation, the existence of guided-mode resonance was demonstrated. This phenomenon can be applied to applications such as anti-counterfeiting in banknotes or sensors.
