My name is Yu-Ta, Wu, born in Taipei City, Taiwan in 1987, male. During my high school years, I developed an interest in language and business-related disciplines. I actively participated in various youth seminars and leadership camps organized within my school.
After graduating from high school, I start studied in the Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at Ming Chuan University. The department's focus was on using different foreign languages to teach Mandarin Chinese. It was during my university years that I honed my English language skills. Through an internal application process at the university, I had the opportunity to attend a youth international seminar in Shanghai, which broadened my horizons. Additionally, I worked as an assistant teacher in elementary and middle schools in Taiwan during my university years, where I gained valuable teaching experience.
After graduating from university, I served in the military for one year. Due to my active participation in international exchange programs during my university years, I developed a strong desire to pursue further studies, particularly in the United States. I dedicated a year to attending a language school and preparatory courses in Madison, Wisconsin. Subsequently, I enrolled in the Graduate School of Education and Workforce Development (Professional development department) at the University of Wisconsin. The focus of this program was adult education, management, and HR learning. As I had pursued an education-related discipline during my undergraduate studies, I had a keen interest in the field of education and management.
During my time in the United States, I took on part-time jobs and internships. As a graduate student, I primarily worked as a research assistant in the school's research lab and as a counseling instructor in the teaching center, primarily providing guidance in foundational English education for international students. Additionally, I completed a six-month individual internship in a local kindergarten, where I gained valuable work experience in the field of education.
After completing my graduate school in the United States, I decided to do the working holiday project and study Japanese in Japan for one year. After that, I returning to Taiwan, I joined Golden Company for a year. It is a traditional manufacturing company specializing in the production of fans and engineering equipment. My main responsibilities at this company were market research, analyzing industry trends, and assisting in planning and designing various marketing and sales activities. Additionally, due to my English language proficiency, I was also responsible for contact with overseas clients and conducting basic translation tasks. After a year at Golden Company, recognizing that I need to enhance my business skills, so I decided to pursue further education and enrolled in the MBA program at Hosei University in Tokyo, Japan.
During my nearly two-year at Hosei University, apart from studying various business subjects such as marketing, accounting, and statistics, the university also arranged internships at government agencies and private companies. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I secured an internship and worked at CoMix Wave Films for approximately six months. Which is a very famous Animation film company in Japan. During this time, I gained valuable experience in conducting international trade and engaging in business interactions with overseas clients.
Finally, after graduating from Japan, I returned to Taiwan and joined KING Machinery. It is a refrigeration and air conditioning company specializing in manufacturing air conditioning systems for vehicles and commercial buildings. In this company, my primary role is as a contact window for international trade. I am responsible for communicating and negotiating with foreign clients, selling our company's products abroad, and discussing various requirements with customers. Additionally, I am also involved in marketing activities as part of expanding our customer base.
Drawing on my educational background and HR experience, I also take on HR and training responsibilities within the company. Besides reviewing job applicants' profiles, I am involved in personnel allocation. Furthermore, I am responsible for conducting training programs for new employees, teaching them the basic company rules and regulations, as well as imparting essential knowledge specific to this industry.
In conclusion, I believe that my diverse educational background and teaching experience, gained in two different countries, along with my sales acumen acquired from over five years of marketing experience, make me a well-rounded candidate. Additionally, I possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to draft contracts. I believe that I am the talent your company is seeking, and I hope you will consider me to be part of your organization. Thank you.
