Academic Projects

  • Adjustable Circular Dichroism in Nanoporous Moiré Metamaterials through Angular Domain Control: We utilized double-layer anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) nanoporous materials to study the tunable distribution of circular dichroism (CD) domains in Moiré metamaterials. Through COMSOL simulations based on experimental CD data, I demonstrated how the twist angle between layers significantly affects the CD effect, enhancing optical properties in specific regions. This work highlights the potential of Moiré metamaterials for advanced tunable optical applications.
  • Study the diffraction fringes produced by the periodic structure of optical discs: In this study, I refined the interference theory for non-uniform CD gratings and addressed errors from camera brightness adjustments. Using a spectrometer for calibration and multi-slit interference fitting, I determined the grating's equivalent thickness and spacing, successfully explaining the observed interference phenomena.
  • Manipulation of sedimentation process by boycott effect for possible fishery application: Using Arduino automation and photoresistor integration, I developed a system to analyze particle settling velocity via transmittance changes, applying it to study the Boycott Effect. I also explored its use for solving aquaculture waste management issues in my hometown, Pingtung.
  • A Study on the Dynamics of Coupled Oscillator within Magnetic Environment: Developed a step-by-step model from single-spring oscillation to dual-spring magnetic oscillation, simplifying complex coupled phenomena into a clear physical framework. Building on this, I proposed an innovative concept for a mechanical dual-spring magnetic cantilever magnetometer, using oscillation changes in the model to deduce the magnetism of the test object.
